Alyssa Mooney is a doctoral student in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at UCSF. She is interested in the impact of the justice system on long-term health and health disparities, particularly through exposure to psychosocial stress. She is currently working to validate a measure of psychosocial stress that predicts health outcomes in populations affected by the justice system, and on a qualitative study of partnerships between corrections institutions and community services to improve reentry.
